Attic Remodel for Guests and Quilting
An unfinished attic turned into a quilting studio, a guest room, a guest bathroom and a sitting area.
The clients were about to become grandparents and wanted somewhere for family to stay that was genuinely theirs for the visit rather than a sofa and an apology.
The attic above the garage was the obvious candidate: it was already there, already under roof, and far enough from the main house to give everyone their evenings back.
We finished it as proper guest quarters, with a curbless shower stall so the room works for older visitors as well as younger ones, and a kitchenette so a guest can make their own coffee without crossing the house to do it.
